This will be different for everyone based on where they are in life, but many people live in a place that is simply too large or too expensive. If you're single and have an extra room, considering downsizing to a smaller place, or renting out the extra room. If you own a home, consider whether you need the amount of space that you have, or could you downsize. Do you own a basement that could easily be renovated into an apartment to bring in additional income? All of these things should be taken into consideration and you just may be able to save some money.
