Spend less money on meat
Often during meal preparation, whether you realize it or not, meat is the main course. If someone were to ask you what you are having for supper you would say “Steak and Potatoes” or “Chicken and Rice”. While there's nothing wrong with either of those, try spending less money on expensive cuts of meat and focus on the other aspects of the meal. For example, spaghetti is very inexpensive and you can add minced beef for very little cost. Thinking about doing this once or twice a week can really add up to a large saving and free up some extra cash in the credit crunch!
