- Problems with eBay purchase
Last month on 20th Feb I bought a watch on Ebay, it only cost £2.99 including postage, a nice little bargain I thought. Fast forward to 12th March and it still hasn't arrive despite me paying the day after the auction ended! I open a dispute on ebay and paypal but the seller keeps responding, saying sorry chick it's been posted! well where is it then?! Paypal refuse to help as the seller says she has now posted the item, should I write this one off?

- Sick of paypal!
I wondered if someone could help, for the 2nd time in 3 months I have lost over £50 due to Paypal, the first time I never received the item and the seller gave a fake tracking number yet Paypal still found in his favour and then today an item not as described which has ended up costing me to put right (car parts, not sure on the details, hubbys the car geek!) again they've found in the sellers favour! Is there anything I can do? It's pointless appealing, they do nothing! I also can't get a credit card to give me more protection so short of never using Paypal or eBay again is there anything? Thanks in advance.

- PC Ebay bought charger blown and trashed my laptop! HELP!
I bought a laptop charger from an ebay seller last Sept/Oct and about 3-weeks ago it went pop, burnt out and blew my laptop in the process. I emailed the seller, who at first seemed helpful. I asked if he or his supplier had insurance to cover. He checked, came back and said the supplier refused to help and there's nothing more he could do. He stopped repsonding to my emails. I then contacted ebay for their advice - I may as well have contacted mars! A response about not receiving the item I'd ordered, contacting the supplier to resolve, it's outside of the 45 days where they would look to intervene and if I'm still dissatisfied - contact the fraud office of the police!!! I honestly believe that ebay have a moral responsibility/duty of care. This item surely is a potential fire risk - talk about smoke! Let alone me having a burnt out laptop of around £400 value. The £30 for the orginal charger versus the £14 one off ebay now seems oh so reasonable all of a sudden. :(
- 2 questions...anyone help? please
FIRSTLY.... I have recently started selling on ebay, and 1 of my items is a ladies top, has one bid, well it still has a couple of days to go, but as it is gonna sell today I thought I would package it, anyway I have noticed a little hole in the top so obviously dont want to sell it, what should I do as the top has a bid on it? I would be happy to either thro the top away or even send it to the buyer for free-although with a hole its pointless really. SECONDLY I have been selling some baby clothes, ALL my items listed have 'POST TO UK', anyway several items sold and when I went to write out the packaging I noticed the buyer is in Germany, at first I didnt really mind and thought Id let them off this once, so I sent the invoice with European postage costs, the buyer didnt pay and continued to bid on further baby items which they won, this has been going on for just over a week, they have won a total of 7 items now, I have sent invoices on several occasions, asking them to pay now so I can send the items etc, but worry that there might be a language barrier. I understand that they might want to combine postage etc, but I havent had any messages from them or anything, no replies to my messages etc, so I am wondering what I should do, they currently dont have any more bids on any of my items, won 2 more items this evening, so I will again send yet another invoice, but can anyone advise me on what to do if I still dont receive payment over the next couple of days? I feel I have been more than fair, I hadnt been planning on selling abroad in the first place, but thought Id be nice! ooooh its enough to put me off international selling lol, thanks for reading my longggg post, and for any advise you might be able to give, x

- Received fake branded mascara
Hi all, I have been buying on Ebay for a while, mainly clothes and books, and never ever had a problem before. I have 100% feedback. Today I received an item I won a week ago, and it is very obviously fake. It was described as a Lancome Hypnose mascara, BNIB, with manufacturer pictures (ie: not pics of actual item I received). I have emailed the seller, who hasn't replied yet (I emailed them prior to this to ask when they had posted it, as I hadn't received after a week, and they didn't reply either). I opened a dispute on Ebay (I think, it is now telling me "Case #....is opened"). How does it work now? what if the seller doesn't reply? As it is a counterfeit, and not simply a "not as described", am I entitled to a full refund of cost + P&P? Do I send the item back? I was going to bin it, but thought I would need it as proof maybe. Any thoughts?

- Rejecting/ Cancelling an item?
Hello all. Just after a quick bit of advice. I ordered a Refurbished Laptop from Argos Clearance Bargains on eBay, however 2 hours later I noticed a better deal elsewhere  So I immediately emailed Argos to request a cancellation of my order and a full refund (paid via Paypal) under the 7 day cooling off period as specified by DSRs. They've emailed me back and said unfortunately it has now been sent out to DHL and they will attempt to get it returned from the first sorting office it gets to. However if the item does get through, and the courier turns up at my address can I simply refuse the delivery and request it be returned to sender? Would I have to cover the cost?

- Comparison Site with eBay Combined
Recently purchased a new digital camera (Nikon D3000) from an on-line retailer, as per norm searched a few comparison sites for prices. Came across one called ShopSuperMarket.co.uk which is a comparison website like many others but it offers you a feature that allows you, with a single click, to see if your item is being sold on eBay, right now and at what price. I thought it was a good feature to make sure you have the cheapest price from the comparison sites and eBay all at the same time. It worked for me as I new I was buying a new camera at the lowest price available and I wasnÂ’t missing any bargains from eBay. IÂ’d recommend it as a basic buying check.
- Ebay bidding question
We've been using ebay to sell things for about a year now. We usually get hold of a variety of things like clothes and toys from a wholesaler friend. One item we regulary get around £10 for is on there and has 4 bids, all from the same person and is still at the minimum price 99p. I'm not complaining because you win some and lose some on that site, but I was wondering how he has managed to offer 4 times under one username and all at the same price? it may be genuine and do-able but thought i'd ask. I notice he regulary sells stuff he buys on and wondered if he may know some way to trick the system! Probably not but I know someone will help. Thanks
- advice please on item not as described
Hi all, I bought a brooch described as being from Accessorize (in both the listing title, description and item specifics) but it isn't (the packet says "Accessories". Also it's really porr quality and some of the jewels have fallen out and I haven't even taken it out of the packaging. I've sent the seller a message through an ebay case as I already had one open for item not received (she claimed the post office had been broken into - a likely story). The problem is that she is in Ireland and to send it back would cost me as it would have to be recorded and I didn't pay much for it in the first place. Also, as it has lost some jewels I don't think she'd want it back (well, I wouldn't!) What do you suggest?
- I'm about to start selling on ebay.. ebay fees question..
Hi I have set up my paypal account and saved my first listing ready to list tomorrow. Just need a bit of help first. I want to pay my seller fee as soon as the winner of my item has paid. Can I set this up so that the fee is automatically deducted from their payment? I would prefer it this way, so I don't forget to pay them. Hope someone can help :) :D

- Have i done the right thing?
Hi everyone, just want to know if i've done the right thing in terms of selling on ebay (because i do feel a pang of guilt now - but i am usually such a push over/door mat! LOL i'm the seller who puts a buy it now price on at someones request for them not to buy the item after all!!) I've just had an item finish tonight which is listed as courier postage. Had a few questions asking if local pick up is allowed but i have stuck to my guns and said no, postage only and even posted one of the questions on to the listing itself. I've had nothing but trouble in the past with ebayers collecting from me and find it easier to have bulky stuff sent by courier, atleast they turn up and do not suffer the 'ebay curse' on the day of collection!! anyway, the item has ended and straight away the winning bidder has sent me a message asking can she pick up because her 'friend lives in my town' I've said no, sorry postage only due to having problems in the past with ebayers collecting items i now only offer items for postage. I feel guilty, have i done the right thing? :( I've been online pretty much all evening to answer any last minute questions but i do think its a bit rude of the winner to assume that she can pick up purely because she wants to without asking me, or even seeing that the same matter has been mentioned in a question on the page!!
