Consumer Advice
One of the best things to do before making any purchase is to search the internet for information about making that type of purchase. Reviews from other consumers can be helpful in helping you decide on a product or service. If other's have had a good experience then it's quite possible that your experience will be positive as well.
In the UK, if you need advice before making a purchase there are a few places that you can visit on the internet for more information. The Office of Fair Trading operates a website for consumers that provides valuable advice for consumers. Their website is http://www.consumerdirect.gov.uk and they can be quite helpful. Another great resource for consumers is http://www.consumersinternational.org/ which also offers advice for consumers with the goal of educating the consumer on a number of issues.
