How to not lose your hard earned cash to the scam artists who advertise cheap CDs.
First things first. Check the feed back for Compact disc sales of the people that are selling large quantities of Compact Discs to make sure they are who they claim to be.
A seller looking to rip people off will simply build up good positive feed back (usually from buying or selling very cheap items, completely unrelated to CDs) then suddenly start advertising large amounts of all the latest CD releases at bargain prices (or any other products for that matter). If you actually receive the item you bought, you will find that it's a poor quality copy. In most cases, you won't even get the CD sent to you.

Tips on buying and selling vinyl records
Make sure that the seller includes the basic collectors requirements:- The condition of the record, the condition of the cover if applicable, the price, shipping prices (especially if you're overseas) and how the record is packed for shipping. Good professional sellers will include the latter in the description, but it may not occur to casual sellers, so if you're concerned about your vinyl getting damaged during shipping, ask the seller a question about the shipping and ask if it can be sent securely packaged and by recorded delivery (only 60-70p extra).
Also check which edition the record is. Again, professional sellers will be able to tell you,but you may have to point the casual seller in the right direction, i.e. whether or not it is a standard copy, a re-issue, a re-pressing (non-original), or a PROMO (usually worth more... [Read more]

Pick half a dozen random record listings from the 1000's and 1000's on eBay and you'll notice that there is virtually no consistancy in the content from seller to seller, even for the same item. Many sellers get the impression that all they need to do is list the Artist and title and the buyers will come flocking!
